This past weekend New Orleans hosted the 2016 Essence Festival. Major stars from all over the United States flew in to take part in this event which hosted over 450,000 attendees. Our highlight of Essence Showcase was songwriter turned artist, Tish Hyman an American singer-songwriter and rapper from the Bronx. Her performance followed singer Neyo and was announced by legendary female rapper MC Lyte.
